‘Lawless’ Character Posters

Lawless has already garnished some pretty heavy buzz when The Weinstein Company released the first trailer. TWC has just released six character posters which I’m sure will only build even more buzz. Based on the book The Wettest County in the World by Matt Bondurant, Lawless is about his grandfather and two granduncles, the film tracks three Bondurant boys and their bootlegging operations which is ultimately threatened by local authorities who want their cut. The film stars Tom Hardy, Shia Labeouf and Jason Clarke as the three Bondurant brothers, and Guy Pearce, Gary Oldman, Mia Wasikowska and Jessica Chastain. Lawless hits theaters on August 31st. ‘Hyde Park on Hudson’ Trailer & Poster

Hyde Park on Hudson is a film by Roger Michell (Morning Glory) about Franklin Delano Roosevelt (Bill Murray) and his wife Eleanor (Olivia Williams) who host the King and Queen of England (Samuel West and Olivia Colman) for a weekend at their at Hyde Park on Hudson, a retreat in upstate New York prior to the outbreak of World War II. There is a minor clash of cultures as the royals meet FDR and his staff, but also a bit of potential scandal as the President attends to Daisy (Laura Linney) rather than his wife Eleanor. Coincidentally enough, the film will hit theaters on December 7th.

What to Expect When You’re Expecting – A look at love through the eyes of five interconnected couples experiencing the thrills and surprises of having a baby. Starring Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Elizabeth Banks, Brooklyn Decker, Anna Kendrick, Dennis Quaid, Chris Rock, Chace Crawford and many more.

In limited release is Hysteria about the creation of the vibrator starring Maggie Gyllenhaal and Hugh Dancy. Also the documentary from Morgan Spurlock on male grooming called Mansome. And Virginia starring Jennifer Connelly as a disturbed woman having an affair with the man running for state senate.

Not too long after the events of the first film, associates of the men Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) killed come back after him, and his daughter (Maggie Grace) has to help him survive. Sounds kind of… weird… right? New director this time around, Olivier Megaton (Colombiana) taking over from Pierre Morel (From Paris With Love) so we’ll see if he can keep the action going like in the original. Due out October 5th 2012. Here’s our first look at Neeson still pulling off the badass character.

With the teaser trailer arriving next week with Men In Black 3, the first teaser poster has arrived for the new James Bond flick Skyfall. Director Sam Mendes (American Beauty and Road to Perdition) guarantees this film will return the franchise to its classic roots. Skyfall stars Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw and Albert Finney all backing up Daniel Craig, who reprises his role as the British secret agent James Bond. Skyfall is due out November 9th.

‘Won’t Back Down’ Trailer

Won’t Back Down is a new drama from Beastly director Daniel Barnz which follows two mothers from different backgrounds (Maggie Gyllanhaal and Viola Davis) who join forces to take on a failing public school system and institute a charter school for struggling children in the neighborhood, including their own. It could be this year’s The Blind Side, but potentially could be very uplifting and we believe will be an Oscar vehicle for Viola Davis. Check out the first trailer below.
