Terry Gilliam‘s The Zero Theorem is a film many are looking forward to, and why not? It’s his first film since 2009 and features a stellar cast. The film stars Christoph Waltz as a computer hacker, whose goal it is to discover the reason for human existence, but continually finds his work interrupted thanks to the Management; this time, they send a teenager and lusty love interest to distract him.
Gilliam’s draw toward futuristic society’s in which the absurdities of modern bureaucracy’s are apparent. And The Zero Theorem can make obvious comparisons to Gilliam’s 1985 film Brazil.
The Zero Theorem also stars Melanie Thierry, Matt Damon, Tilda Swinton, Peter Stormare and Ben Whishaw.
The film will make it’s debut later this year at the Venice Film Festival. No release date for the film has been announced, but a 2014 date seems ideal.
