Emmy NominationsThe 65th Emmy Awards Nominations have been announced, and once again, American Horror Story dominates. Last year, the show earned an impressive 17 nominations, taking home 2. This year, American Horror Story: Asylum matches last year’s total, edging out HBO‘s Game of Thrones which earned 16 nominations. Steven Soderbergh‘s Behind the Candelabra earned 15 nominations, including Best Actor in a TV Movie of Mini Series (Michael Douglas), who they might as well just hand the award right now. Breaking Bad and 30 Rock round out the top contenders, both earning 13 nods.

However, Netflix has the the real story. House of Cards makes television history, becoming the first digitally distributed show to get mentioned in major categories.
