From The Vault: Joel & Ethan Coen’s World Cinema (2007)

I’ll say it again, the Coen Brothers don’t really have a lot of underground stuff. They broke onto the scene with their first feature film Blood Simple and have been rolling along ever since with stuff like The Big Lebowski, No Country For Old Men, Fargo and True Grit. So just like in their last appearance of From The Vault, this edition doesn’t really reach back too far. In 2007 a French anthology film was put together for the Cannes Film Festival called To Each His Own Cinema. A bunch of directors took on small short films and this is what the Coens came up with. You’ll notice a familiar character (even though he’s not supposed to be the same character).
