Jennifer and Needy have been best friends since they were little kids. Now in high school, Jennifer is the hot, popular cheerleader and Needy is the plain, conservative, nerdy girl. But they remain best friends. Jennifer bosses Needy around to the disdain of her boyfriend, Chip. One night she forces her to go to a bar to see a band. After a huge fire kills many and burns the bar to the ground, the band nonchalantly takes off with Jennifer leaving Needy to worry about her. Later that night, Jennifer appears at Needy’s house covered in blood and acting strange. From that point on we find out Jennifer is now possessed with a demon and must feed on flesh to survive. I don’t know if this is necessarily a horror comedy but it definitely tries to be. Terrible dialogue, no scares, and just trying to sell a movie on sexual tension alone just didn’t work for a horror flick.

Megan Fox gets center stage for the first time and she doesn’t disappoint in the sex department. Michael Bay may have cheaply used her as a sexual object in Transformers but she turns it up full throttle in this flick. She’s basically seducing men and being a whore the entire time… even before she becomes a demon. So guys going to see her do that wont be disappointed but for an R rating there’s nothing too racy. Acting-wise she still has little experience and doesn’t impress. Amanda Seyfried is the dork girl who was cast in a bad role. Its like the movie She’s All That where they got an attractive girl to mess up her hair and throw on some glasses and we’re supposed to think she’s nothing special. Seyfried played the hot airhead in Mean Girls and now she’s supposed to be some plain chick. It just didn’t work for me. She is a good actress though and could branch out into other roles in the future. I had no problem with her acting, I just think the dudes would be checking her out also. The other minor roles were Johnny Simmons as Chip and Adam Brody of The OC fame as the lead singer of the band they see at the bar.

The major flaw with the movie (and boy is it MAJOR) is the dialogue. I wasn’t a big fan of Juno because of the way the girls talked. This is another screenplay by Diablo Cody and she’s heavy on the silly speech once again. Juno had ‘Honest To Blog’, Jennifer’s Body has ‘This is Freak-tarded’. Just really bad stuff like that FILLS this movie. I cringed every time they used some made up slang. It was driving me nuts. The horror wasn’t there either. Not even cheap scares like things jumping out. Jennifer would just seduce guys and then eat them. Oooooo Scary! There’s not really a surprise in the end, you can pretty much figure out what happened to Jennifer from the moment she starts acting all demony. I didn’t have high expectations for the movie so I wasn’t disappointed but it really isn’t any good unless you want to see Megan Fox cleavage and I can just look for better shots of that on the Internet.
