Mel Gibson, Braveheart (1995)

Best Actor in a Leading Role:

One of the best performances of the decade in one of the best films of the decade. Mel Gibson’s William Wallace was intense to the point of being scary. Running in the fields, leading his Scottish countrymen to freedom. Screaming at the top of his lungs with his face scorched in blue war paint. Mel Gibson is a great actor and he proved it in this exceptional performance of epic proportions. However, he did win two Oscars for Braveheart. One for Directing and one for Producing. He should of came away with three.
